I have a 1998 neon, the mileage counter that you can use to see how many gallons you get per mile is broken. So i was just wondering what was a price range i would be looking at to get it fixed

Import guy is right. The time spent troubleshooting to determine what's wrong then to replace the bad part(s) will, at $90 an hour (the average hourly labor charge) possibly run you several hundred bucks plus parts and tax. Easier to just note your mileage at each refill, use the trip odometer if you have one, and divide the miles traveled by the number of gallons used. A quick check is to multiply the gallons used by 20 to see if you're mileage is more or less than 20 MPG. For cars which regularly get 30 or better multiply refill gallons by 30. I do this at every refill to see if I'm still in the MPG area I want to be in.

You will likely need a new instrument cluster around 300. God Bless
