It ALL depends on the artist/band. I generally listen to more rock than country but given a choice between Hank Williams, Sr. or ACDC, Hank will win every time.
Same applies to Hank III. Not yet seen him live but from from what I heard online his country set is great traditional honky-tonk boogie country but then he's got this head-banger, chain-saw rock act that I'll pass on.
Mainstream commercial country radio sucks outright so, whenever I tune in on FM, I aim for classic rock but if Elton John, Queen, Boston, or the like comes on that's when I move to classical or jazz.
I'm a "Yes Man." And Stones. And Zappa. And Clapton. And Floyd. And the Dead. And Phish ... oooh the jam-band scene! Yeah buddy!
Let me not forget the "Master of the Stratocaster" HENDRIX!!!

I love both, but I listen to rock more often because the emotions they portray are usually more what I can relate to. Country is usually love songs, and I don't date yet. I'm not a big fan of really hard rock. I like stuff like Superchic(k) and the Beatles.
