Wooo! Thanks for starring Jake :0)

I personally like In Absentia better, because it has a nice little mix of their mellower stuff, along with the beginning of their move towards metal. It probably has their most haunting tunes (Heartattack by a Layby, Collapse the Light Into Earth, Gravity Eyelids) which is why it's one of my personal favorites. Stupid Dream is also amazing and Even Less is one of my favorite PTs. Deadwing, I love because it has some of their best songs, but I don't think it pulls together as a whole album as well and Metanoia... I'm still recovering from teh shock that you know that one!
But The Sky Moves Sideways is my favorite PT record.

In Absentia is their most popular. Deadwing and SD are both great, but differ completely in style. Deadwing has a retro feel, while SD is a collection of pop-friendly hits. (Metanoia is really just two songs with slight variations: instrumental outtakes recorded during the Signify CD sessions in '96. So if you like Signify you may want to get Metanoia afterward.)

Has to be In Absentia - the songs are very dynamic and are a little more accesible than the longer and more progressive ones on the other albums (though Lazarus from Deadwing is simply stunning). Also it has my favorite song "Heart Attack In A Lay By" on it.

Stupid Dream. then Absentia, Deadwing, and Metanoia.

All amazing though.
But i do stand strong behind SD being their best album!
