lets start with glam. glam metalisnt really metal at all, examples are twisted sister, kiss and motley crue.thrash metal is a subgenre of heavy metal music, one of the extreme metal subgenres that is characterised by the high speed and aggression, examples are venom, motorhead, and metallica. nu metal is a musical genre that emerged in the late 1990s which fuses influences from grunge. examples are linkin park, slipknot, korn, and system of a down. and finally death metal is an extreme heavy metal subgenre. It is typically characterized by the use of heavily-distorted guitars, harsh low-pitched growled vocals, morbid lyrics, fast-paced rhythms and melodies, and unconventional song structures. examples are slayer, death, and morbid angel.

Glam stands for Gay L.A. Metal,, its not real metal. Band like Poison, Bon Jovi, Trixter, Lizzy Borden, white lion, warrant, all the "popular" crap from the late 80's.
Thrash metal was spawned from the old metal (Sabbath, Maiden, priest) and mixed with a little punk. Its sound just like its name, Thrash!.
