I don't. But then again I've researched them and know what they are about and what they stand for rather than taking Rush's word for it.

I don't hate them.

I just happen to know they are the most idiotic organization in the USA.

For instance the US Army can no longer support the boy scouts in any way, Why? Because the ACLU says the boy scouts have the word God in their pledge.

So that means that military families overseas cannot have their sons in the boy scouts.

That means that the boy scout Jamboree that was held on Ft Bragg every year for a generation no longer exists.

And all this because one person (not a majority) found one word offensive. ACLU can kiss it.

Everyone does not.
Those that hate The ACLU are misguided or anti-American.
The ACLU fights for the rights of all Americans, this does not sit well with those seeking to suppress or do away with these rights and liberties.

Simply because the propaganda tells them to hate the ACLU. Sadly, many conservatives that would be strongly in favor of the constitutional rights the ACLU defends have listened to the hate/propaganda machines on the right and have allowed their constitutional rights to evaporate.

I never thought propaganda could work so well in the USA.

I find it the right-wing element that hates the ACLU but last time I checked they weren't "everyone" unless you count the people at Fox news.

Personally I don't hate them, but I don't like them either. They're like the unions. I see the reason for the unions, I understand why people would want the unions but when you put it into practice the union stops being what you created it for and starts being an entity of it's own.

The ACLU serves a purpose but it's gone beyond what it was originally created for.

The goals of the ACLU were clear from the group’s founding, as indicated by the writings of its founder, Roger Baldwin: “I am for socialism, disarmament, and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class… Communism is the goal.”

Is that reason enough for you?

they were formed just after world war two ended.their aim is to destroy the American way of life.they are supported by the communist party.everything they do is against the american way.if it goes against our government.they stand behind it.they want a communist way of life here in america.look out for some of your politicians they are in with them.read up on the 1930;s overthrow of the american government.we came so close to becoming a communist government.it was spoiled by a marine general who kept the FBI informed.otherwise we all would of been under a different flag for sure.so down with the ACLU.

I dislike the ACLU because their agenda seems to be dedicated to overrunning the will of the majority in this nation. I find it ironic that the Democrats claim to want a "democracy (rule of the majority)" while using the ACLU to undermine the true majority.

Good show, Ruth.

The ACLU has outlived it's usefulness and continues to exist by trumpeting causes that need no trumpeting.

Because they don't support the Constitution, and they have turned into a gestapo type of thought police.
They are not for defending the voiceless as they claim, but rather to advance their own agenda of forcing the intentionally aberrant down our throats.
None of this type of coercion was intended by the constitution, which was about freedom, but they do their damage in the name of the Constitution.
They are a classic example of the perversion of a good idea.

Mostly because the ACLU is more about their own aims than they are about what the people they claim to represent.
