Linksys WRT54G !!! I have tried "Network Everywhere" but it would kinda overheat. I have also worked with some Netgear and D-Link. The D-Links depending on the model can be ok. But, I still think that the WRT54G is the best.
I am bothered by my recent update of the rom that left the admin login page exposing what is the router model. It used to read whatever you placed in the hostname field so i put in "router", a very generic title. Now it reads Linksys WRT54G. Allowing a hacker / cracker to know what router they are dealing with when trying to hack your box. Very stupid move on Linksys's part.
You can very easily burn the rom with a version of linux from http://openwrt.org/, allowing you do almost anything you want.
Also read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WRT54G for info on various versions of the WRT54G

A good router, well, everyone will debate on what a good router is. What do you want it to do? Wireless? How many ports? how many people will use it? All Windows, or any Macs?
