Mostly you would use them on a centerpiece because it's so hard to wire them onto a hanging wreath. (although you can slide a wire into the bottom of walnuts) Nuts do go bad but it takes a long time.

Nuts in a shell last a very long time especially if you live in cooler climate and are hanging the wreath outside.
You can easily glue them on a wreath with a glue gun.

They may but who cares as long as the wreath is pretty.
glue wire stem onto nut with superglue. and let dry. then wire them into your wreath.

If the nuts are still in the shell, and they are tightly closed, you shouldn't have any problem. Just to be sure, you could coat them with wax.

well u can use nuts that r or r not shelled hazelnuts that r not in shell take a year to go BAD so ya.
