I think it would be a great move for the school and the conference
...there are quite a few Pacific Island players in the Pac 10 right now, and Hawaii might even become the "home" school for these guys...right now the school's football team may not be getting the respect it deserves (undefeated) because of their schedule...The Pac 10 would remove that stigma...and I can see the possibility of tremendous recruiting potential with such a move...imagine going to school in Paradise and getting national tv exposure nearly every week in a major conference...Any thought?

Ruehls - they could keep the name... The Big 10 did when they added Penn State

First that comment by "WILL" is a joke, the PAC 10 plays defense like the NFL, where was that SC defense 2 yrs ago when they went in to FRESNO State and gave up 40+ points to the Bulldogs.

The Pac 10 is just the WAC with bigger schools. the only way to win in the Pac 10 is to routinely score over 50+ while your sorry defense gives up 30+ to the losing team. Ask Pete Carrol bout that, and CAL, and Oregons coach. The Pac 10 has nice individual defenders just like every conference does, but to say that they are that good is a straight joke. Adding Hawaii would at least add another team capable of winning more than 5 games besides Oregon, Cal and USC every year.

As far as the Conference name , it was the Pacific 8 before the last 2 teams joined it back in the 70's. So whats in a name? it will stay the Pac 10 until doomsday even if they have 15 teams.

I think the PAC-10 needs another team to be eligible for a Conference Championship Game at the end of the year. I doubt if Hawaii would jump ship out of the WAC, but them or Fresno St, BYU, Utah, Boise St or Nevada would all fit and close to what is in place right now, yes none give great competition but could in time as they are now in a prime conference. So yes Hawaii would be a nice fit, but you always have that distraction of going there on away games and getting upset.

individually i think of Boise State ought to be in the Pacific-10 even via that for the period of all probability potential that they are going to develop into like Stanford or Arizona. yet howdy, you never comprehend. inspect South Florida. They have been no no longer that good while they performed in C-u . s . a . yet someway they are between the final communities in the super East. although June Jones does have a different device down there in Hawaii it rather is often effectual and now they are undefeated and ranked #sixteen. I assume them to lose to Boise State via. How does Hawaii consistently produce good QBs? First Timmy Chang and now Colt Brennan. who's next?

I think Hawaii would be a great addition to the PAC-10 conference. Also, and more importantly, it would make them "look" better to the BCS. I am not even sure of what conference they are currently in, but it would definetly be a great move for them to try and prove themselves.

it would be a great move for scheduale strenght, but they would probably only be as good as UCLA was this past year. they have no defense, which apparently wins in the WAC, but in the pac-10 they play defense like NFL teams, so it would be interesting

they would actually need to start scheduling teams from the PAC 10 and beating them year in and year out before they would be asked to join the Pac10, it would also be a good way for them to find out if they are as good as they think or if the need to up their level of play a bit.

Not really, because teams will have to travel by jet to play at Hawaii

No, they would not be a good addition. If the Pac Ten expands, which I don't think they will anytime soon, it will add two teams who are geographic rivals, and my money would be on Brigham Young and Utah.
