Being English and loving everything American I'm intrigued, I would have thought Jackie Kennedy and Eleanor Roosevelt would be popular?

Eleanor Roosevelt is my first choice. Jackie Kennedy second. Pat Nixon still remains as one of the nicest in my memory. She also graduated from the same high school that my sisters and I did. I need to read about some of the earlier first ladies from Washington's era and after.

Martha Washington, for inspiring George to fight the British and set us free. Now we need a new one to start a fight, because they are buying everything.
