People say he doesn't have enough experience (like George Bush) but can anyone fault his character? His charisma? The position he takes as a uniter and not a divider?

I think he is a good man, who appears to be honest, bright and well-meaning. Maybe in the future, when he has several more years' experience in the Senate, he may be a worthy candidate for the big job. But at this point in time, my impression of the junior Senator from Illinois is that he would be out of his league when dealing with major issues confronting this country. On foreign policy specifically, I think he would be way over his head. That does not mean I applaud the performance of our current President on foreign policy. It also does not mean I subscribe to the mindset of "Anything has to be better than what we've had for leadership over the past several years". I just look at Obama, listen to him, and hear a voice inside me telling me this is not our man. Maybe some day in the future, but not now.

I do appreciate Barack Obama. I find no fault with his character or his charisma or the fact that he wants to be a uniter. But he will not get my vote because he is clearly too inexperienced and wet behind the ears to run our country. That's my only problem with him. If he should get the nomination I will support him, and if he wins the election I'll pray he appoints the most experienced advisors he can find for the good of us all.

Charisma? How does that make him a President? Jim Jones had Charisma..... Would you want him as the leader of the free world.

Any way, No... he does not have any experience to be president. But, he is less scary then Hillary.

I don't see a viable candidate in the Democrat party. The two front runners (Hillary and Obama) are in no way "uniters". They are just talking heads with no free thought that spew answers to questions spoon fed to them by their handlers.

Ralph, the guy who works on my car, has character & charisma, but I'm not sure he's ready to be President. On second thought, he hasn't said he would invade Pakistan, so maybe he is ready. Ralph's Irish, too, just like Paddy O'Bama.

He says he is for helping middle and low income Americans. But he is pro-illegal immigration. He voted for the Amnesty bill which would have give millions of illegals a free pass. He voted for the Dream Act to legalize minor illegals and help them go to college. How would that help middle America? Just one example of how he says one thing and does another.

yeah, charisma is a qualification. it certainly trumps having any positions that will actually work well in the real world.
