Besides being morally responsible, are parents of a minor male legally responsible for child support if he gets someone pregnant? Please assume that the minor is too young to legally work (yes, it's happening...).

Please don't bother with stupid comments such as "kids shouldn't be having sex". That is obvious! I was just curious about the legal outcome. Also, please do not assume this question involves me as I do not have a son. I am simply just CURIOUS.

Probably depends on the state, age of children, and situation. When my aunt was 18, and her bf was 17, the court decided he didn't have to pay anything until after he turned 18. I imagine in most circumstances though that his parents would be on the hook for some support if he was underage. Be careful though, you don't want to get in a custody battle with them!

I would think the parents of the boy that caused the pregnancy. Parents are responsible for their children up until they are the age of majority.
