I love acting more than ANYTHING. But theres one teensy weensy pequeno problemo... I suck at it. So can anyone give me any advice such as How to get better, what makes someone a good actor, what natural qualities do good actors have, or just any tips on how to improve my acting skills? Anything you have to share with me would be grealty appreciated. This is important to me since i want to be an actor when I grow up. I would love advice for acting either on stage or in films. Muchas Grasias.

Asi! Acting talent is a gift from God, maybe your name wasn't on the list. You can try a couple of things. 1. make sure you are the nicest person you can be. 2. be energetic and enthusiastic when you act. 3. take speech and drama classes in school, participate in oral interp events. 4. read aloud all the time. 5. Dont try to act when you are doing a reading or a role. Just say the lines as though you mean them. 6. Take a professional acting class. Buenos suerte, Doc

There is good news to your question, and bad news. The good news is that there are a lot of instituions(acting schools, conservatory's, camps, workshops) where you can focus on learning and developing the craft. The bad news, is that you either got it or you don't - that's not to say you can't be taught! But some people, no matter how much practice or rehearsal or direction their given, for some reason, just can't make it a career. But if it is your true passion, then there is no way you can't be successful. Want it more than anything, start reading plays, learn some monologues and practice in front of the mirror, then pursue a coach/workshop/camp etc. The acting coaches out there get a high off of people who want to be successful at it.
P.S. You should not be forking over $1,000+ for a workshop, if you do, its a scam
(example: John Robert Powers, Caryn International, Peter Skalar etc)
Good luck mi amigo!

The first thing an actor must have is confidence! You can't go on stage or on set and second guess everything you do. The second thing is creativity, play a lot of improv games, like who's line is it anyway, and that will help you to be able to think quickly. Third, when you are reading a script, ask yourself: "Does this sound like something someone would really say? How can I make this more believable?" This will help you start. Also, lots of local theaters offer acting classes, so hit as many of those as you can!

Before you give up, find yourself a good acting school in your area and see how it goes and if you have what it takes. A good teacher will be able help you to get better or tell you that you are better off pursuing something else in life.

take classes. and keep trying. acting can be aquired, don't worry about that. you'll just have to try alittle bit harder. act infront of a mirror ALOT. get plays from the library and read them and act out each part.

One thing that I think you should pay attention to is a character's feelings. Not necessarily just your character's feelings though: everyone's.
