FALSE.
phenotype - what an organism looks like as a *consequence of the interaction* of its genotype and the environment.
genotype - a group of organisms sharing a *specific genetic constitution*
Some phenotypes are controlled entirely by the individual's genes. Others are controlled by genes but are significantly affected by extragenetic or environmental factors. *Still other phenotypes are entirely extragenetic, for example, a person's language or physical traits that were altered by surgery.*
genotype + environment + random-variation → phenotype

True they deal with the same trait but a phenotype is what the trait you can see is and the genotype is the letter combination. Like for example :
ex 1 - genotype= Tt , Phenotype would be dominant
ex 2 - genotype= TT, phenotype would also be dominant
ex 3 - genotype= tt , phenotype would be recesive

to repeat the oft used word, genotype = phenotype plus surroundings. lately all of us recognize that there are a great many stuff that finally be sure how and at the same time as genes are expressed. even if 2 organisms have a similar absolute genotype, variations in outdoors impacts and inner signaling can effect contained in the expression of diverse phenotypes.

Rather confusing question, but I'd say true.
The genotype tells what alleles the individual has for the trait.
The phenotype tells the behavior or characteristic that the individual has because of the genotype.
