Thanks to my brother in law I can get free pc games and stuff and I've heard about Guild Wars but I've never played the games before. So naturally I have some questions.

1) Once after buying the game in store do you have to pay a monthly or yearly or any fees?

2) What Guild Wars game package would be best for a noob to start?

3) Is it easy to play once you get the hang of it or is the gameplay a bit of a challenge the whole way through?

4) How long does the Guild Wars game/s last?

5) Is it hard to get levelled and get money and items and does the game have its own currency or is the currency connected to your credit card?

Thanks for answering everyone.

1) No you do not have to pay ANY fees whatsoever however there are pvp versions of games which allow you to unlock ever skill in the game to give you a pvp edge.
2) Well, Nightfall and Factions with the game are pretty necessary to have fun. Each one gives you a different campaign. Eye of The North is designed for Level 20 Players(Level 20 being max). So get that once you have gotten a couple players up to level 20.
3) It is fairly easy, you get in parties with people and follow a storyline with missions. You can also teleport to any City/outpost that you have visited. If you can find a good guild, there will be many level 20's to help you.
4) In terms of how long you can play it, forever. In terms of how long you can play it before you beat it prophecies will take you a while, I haven't beaten it yet. Factions will take you a month to beat the campaign and maybe a little bit longer to get to level 20. Nightfall will take you about in between the two. I got a level 20 character in about 2 months of playing 2 hours a day during the week and 4 a day on the weekends.
5) It isn't that hard to level 1-15 and if you do missions with parties and guilds along with quests you can get to 20 in no time. Money is earned in game by doing quests and killing monsters. However the drops are fairly low so I'd get money from quests. Items are easy to get at level 20, but hard for pretty much everyone else. Level 20's can do things in Hard Mode, which will make everything level 20, but give improved loot. A Credit Card won't get you anything but more copies of the game from the online store. I myself have bought one pvp version however, so you can unlock every skill in the game and own at pvp. Rather than playing role playing and unlocking all my skills. It gives you almost too much of an advantage. Also certain websites will sell you in-game money for real money. It's cheap, but it's against the TOS(Terms of Service) and you're account most likely be suspended if you are caught. Although many people get away with it, I wouldn't do it. A certain site that does this that has known to be reliable(if you consider actually doing it, I don't recommend it)

1. Nope, no more fees ever. Your only expense is buying the game.

2. I'd recommend Prophecies (the original Guild Wars), however it doesn't matter. You can buy any of the 3 campaigns and start there. Just don't buy Eye of the North to start. That one is an expansion package which requires one of the other campaigns.

3. I think it's easy. Some areas are challenging of course, but you won't reach those until you are well into the game.

4. As long as you are interested. Level 20 is the highest level your character can reach. That doesn't mean the game is over when you get there. The game is just starting then. I've been playing for about a year and a half and still haven't accomplished most of my goals.

5. Leveling and money making are very easy ingame. This game doesn't have a lot of the grind that others do. You can acquire max armor and max weapons fairly cheap. You can also spend a small fortune in gold trying to get Elite armors and rare skinned weapons, but those don't offer you any competitive advantages, they just look nicer. Nothing is connected to your credit card. Ingame gold is purely ingame. You can buy gold from gold sellers for real world cash, but this is against the terms of service of the game and will get your account banned and you could also be infected with a virus from most of the disreptable sellers. (Hey, these guys are cheats to start with and you're gonna trust them with your credit card info?)

1) There is no monthly fee. You only pay for the price of the software.

2) The original game, Prophecies, has the longest introduction for new gamers. Nightfall has the second longest and Factions gets difficult rather quickly for new players.

2)I would start with Prophecies or Nightfall.

4) Though you can play indefinitely, a new, casual player can take several months to go through the storyline quests of each game. Prophecies, the original chapter, is by far the longest.

5) The game has is own currency and the economy is carefully watched by the developers. You do not need a credit card to play the game or to buy in-game items or gold.

One of the best ways to save money for new players is to obtain collector armor and weapons. Save your money for the better armor you find further along in the game.

1- there is no monthly fee.
2- Prophecies has a pre searing mode with low lvl monsters so that would be best for starters.
3-it is easy once u get hang of it and know wat all the skills in ur skill bar do.
4- they last a while. once u beat one of the games buy Nightfall or Factions or help other ppl or farm ect.
5- it depends wat proffesion u chose to get lvled up faster. it takes a while longer once u get up the 11, 12, 13 and so on. money drops a lot and so do items. u should have no problem getting any good weopens or anything. if u do start playing guild wars add me- Freakish Fighter i am on almost every day. so if u do start to play ask me for anything and im sure ill do my best to help u out!

the two are good video games and that's as much as you. in case you opt to anticipate Guild Wars 2, it rather is totally high quality and that's stand on my own. in case you like studying with regard to the lore and have an interest in seeing the way it replaced, then by utilising all potential get Guild Wars. i've got self assurance GameStop has the completed number of all 3 campaigns and the attention of the North growth for approximately $30. in case you do settle directly to get the unique, the time you spend there merely isn't in ineffective. There are achievements you earn in the unique that translate over into advantageous extras in GW2, offered you have a minimum of one marketing campaign and the attention of the North growth. ArenaNet has reported emphatically they'll proceed to assist the unique interest as long as there are human beings enjoying it. although you settle on, you rather will no longer be able to bypass incorrect.
