To get a job you need to be tallented or u must have referance/approach??

Hi i m a graduate, having diploma in hotel management & have 1 year experience can any one help me to find a job in 5* hotels/airline catering.

u shud b talented to get a job. u have 1 yr exp hence u need to continue with ur job. look for opportunities wrt ur field. give lot of interviews just for the sake of it and see how is the response. it will help to judge ur self. if u get good opening join there else do not leave ur current job. as far as 5 star job is concerned u will have to keep a close watch as to when the interviews are held. if u r in india now a days there are good job sites like naukri.com etc which offer a good response.

With only one years experience you will be still looking at entry level positions. You can send your resume to the HR departments at places you are interested in but its much easier if you have an inside track. Get to know people in the industry by going to seminars or conventions and make contacts so that they can let you know when openings come up. Most of these jobs arent advertised.

With your lack of actual work experiance you will need to work your way up from the bottom.
Apply at every hotel you can and hopefully someone will hire you.
