Did I inspire this question? ;o)
The answer is that somehow, somewhere many years ago, the seeds of future elitism were sewn by the original "chosen people" to be reaped later with claims to land, power, money and influence. That "later" is now and we pay the price like sheep who aren't allowed to speak the truth about the "untouchables". This is changing thanks to questions like this. People are becoming a little more informed about who's doing what. Most people are good at heart and are unaware when they're being had. An informed American is a free American. If we can just get this across to people, we might inspire a search for the truth.

America is beautiful country but, Americans don't know whats going on they don't know how dirty the system is and Israel a tool for America in the middle east, the reason there is no peace its because the Americans wanna play the peace makers part but when u think about it the problem is Washington their policies always trying to make sure they don't run out of oil. if china were to sell the 60 billion dollars it holds and buy euros what do u think would happened? America sells more weapons than any one in the world, they started more wars than anyone else, they are the only country that has ever used nuclear weapons and everyone is suppose to be scared of Iran "don't make me laugh" America is the problem

Yes, that is true, too many Americans still believe all what they have been taught, and never bother to do any investigation of their own, I believe that number is shrinking though, the information is now right at their fingertips, and it is difficult to avoid for those who have any sort of an injuring mind.
I think we have to be careful, like in the case of the USA, not to label the whole population with the dastardly deeds of their leaders, I know it's long winded, but "the leaders of Israel" is far more accurate.
It is a fact that 72% of Israeli's want a peaceful 2-state solution based on 1967 borders, also the figures are similar for Palestinians, but as usual the leaders ignore this.
Like the vast majority of Americans who oppose the war in Iraq, democracy is not working.

About half think is the holy land and Israelites are God's chosen people. Another half of people including me see Israel as the only viable democracy in a region filled with pro-terrorist sentiment. However, I do agree that we must be able to criticize Israel if some of their actions are questionable. Our country always has to come first and there is nothing wrong with that.

There's an organized propaganda effort to spread the idea that criticizing Israel makes you an antisemitic who'd probably have supported the Nazis as well. The first part is outspoken, the second often implied

Don't think it is an American issue, Israel is criticized in many parts of America. It is a United Statesian issue though. In the US if you criticize Israel you get slammed.

You CAN criticize Israel, but you WILL be labeled anti-Semitic. Once you are labeled that, you will lose all credibility.I don't know why,it just works out that way.

Just criticize for the right reasons.
An example would be: why did they surrender the Gaza crossing?
Bad decision and bad policy on our behalf.
