I know that when the only method of payment is Western Union there is the possibility of fraud . I have these information from seller : 1-Company name 2-Address 3-VAT number 4-Phone No. 5-Incoporation date.

Are you sure that all the sellers who accept Western union as the only method of payment are Scam .

I have a friend who has been trying to sell stuff on line and she has received so many fraudulent money orders, travelers checks and such that she has nearly given up hope for any success's. So what is the seller to do to ensure that the payment received is not just worthless paper?

It may not be a scam, but I would not be surprised if it is. When sellers will ONLY take Western Union, cashiers checks, money orders, or similar forms of payment which cannot be cancelled or retrieved, it's time for you to be VERY wary

Ask if the seller is willing to use an escrow service and split the cost. If the seller refuses, I would walk.
