II'm doing a research in English language for a Regional Center of Talent, as I am a talent for English language. I choose to write about dificult age of adolescents. Why do they want to kill themselves? What's wrong? Why is everything so blue?
I was wondering if you can help me, by posting some links or answering some questions....

Thanks!

I'm biased towards Sociology, and I know that there's plenty of psychological advice coming, so I'll give you an alternative view.

It's during the adolsecent years that teenagers start to look around themselves and question the world. This makes them realize the inequalities and injustices that exist, as well as lack of opportunity for many based on class/race/gender discrimination and barriers. This leads to depression in those who are unable to cope with this new information about the hidden structure of society.

Well I think the high rate of it shown in adolescents is that their bodies are changing, hormone levels are changing, etc. But you should really be careful, your sentences generalize that all adolescents want to kill themselves and are always upset, and that is not true. Also, suicide happens in all age groups, so it isn't simply an adolescent problem. I really think you should refocus your research questions.

let me know i will see if ican help, a lot of it has to do with the changing times, parents attitude to things, god knows what the next generation is going to be like, that is the most worrying thing. drugs have a lot to do with it,we used to hear a lot about the same thing in america years ago i think now we are catching up with them when we had plenty of warning and as always nothing was done untill it is to late, its the attitude "it will never happen here"
