I hope it's labor =) sounds like it.. but I wouldn't know.. since I've never experienced 'real labor' (was induced with my first..11 days late)
I feel for ya though, I know how it is..
Those menstrual cramps may very well be contractions, have you maybe kept track of them to see if they are regular?
Of course..I don't know what I am talking about, but I will be wishful thinking right along with you and hoping that it IS labor =D
Good luck and gratz!!

it sounds like labour congratultions. Keep yourself active and eat something now before labour advances. Phone your labour ward and tell them you are in early stage labour. When your pains are more intense and closer together or your waters break then off you go.
Best of luck!! How exciting~!

My cousin is pregnant and due in 5 days, she has had these pains on and off for a while. They could be braxton hicks or the real thing. I think the best thing to do would be to phone your midwife or the hospital etc for advice. They will advise you on the best action to take.

Hope this helps

i was feeling this for a day or two a couple of weeks ago and im now a week overdue and nothings happening! however everything iv read suggests this could be the start of labour so maybe my baby just wants to stay put!

You should have that baby soon. Time when you have the pain. If they start getting close and consistent go to the hospital. If your water breaks go to the hospital. It may be a gosh or just a slow drip. Try to rest as much as you can. Drink water. congrats it's almost time.

I had that all morning and then it tapered off. About 12 hours later, my water broke! :) I wasn't expecting that since I was just over 36 weeks, but my baby was born healthy! I also had cramps too. Good luck and I hope you have a baby soon!

Sounds like labor to me... could be awhile though... If you go to hospital now they will most likely make you walk around. I would notify your Doctor and follow his/her instuctions. Take a NAP asap, as you will need the energy later.
And if you are to excited, go for a walk to calm you down and it helps with moving the pressure down.
Good luck!!!

It very possibly could be labor. If they get worse then oh yea I'd say it's labor since you are expecting today. So if they do then hunny get to your hospital. Good luck and Congratulations!!!

sounds like the baby is turned face up instead of face down and you are having back labor so call your doctor or go to the hospital
