perhaps not.its a goemetrical carving or openwork in my book..cheers so dont fret needlessly my friend(jk)

I've only heard that used to describe playing guitar,
you play the different notes on the frets, if your playing a certain scale or something that is the fretwork you are using.

fretting is worrying, i don't think it means anything about needlessly, if you're worrying (fretting), and it's needlessly, then you say, "He/She is fretting needlessly."
