As a regular contributor to the Greek Travel community since quite a while, I asked to respect the rules for what should be a 'travel' in and/or outlet... this must have been unacceptable to important people? If a question like this is unwanted or disturbing to this community, I will be glad to step out.

Thank you all for your contributions; they touch a lot of controversial issues I have learned to coope with and appreciate. Those who know I am a dedicated Greece lover spending lots of time in Greece, not at the hotel poole, but with local people, will understand that I do not always feel happy with the rousing of public sentiment which has nothing to do with 'travel'; but yes, I do accept that a broader look into the particulars of Greek society are helping me to get the full picture. And yes, as long as I can, I will return to visit Greece and the Greeks I love. Let it be clear to all; I am a guest in your country, and I do not wish to mangle in your politics; consider my contributions on the Greek Travel community as vivid interest into your past, present & future. Removing messages like this out of arbitrariness brings no solutions; respect for other opinions can help. Love you all. Guido

Possibly your question was taken off because some people want the section to be their private grounds, so that they can do whatever they want. Yet, you have been a long time away since your last entries, maybe that is a problem too. Even though they, who think themselves owners, are also old users like you .
My answers, more than once were removed off the Greek section due to the benevolent action of the above mentioned people. Better luck next time.

Many accounts are operated by the same persons behind them.It seems that those people are never going to grow up.
Since you started thumbing me down you might as well finish it. All the more i get, all the better to prove my point to Yahoo customer service of the many accounts used to do it. Even that simple fact, you are not capable of grasping. You gave yourselves away. Deleting my answer is not a problem. It has been recorded and it is reported to Yahoo. So keep them coming!

Why stopped ? Did the prospect intimidate you? Or are you good only to bully women? You are thoroughly exposed.

I don't know about your question but I will say that many travel sections turn into sections for expats and others to hang out. While I understand how this is disturbing to some people I see nothing really wrong with it because one reason to travel is to learn about other cultures and see how other people live around the world. Many of these questions and answers that are not traditionally travel related do realate to the culture of the country and can therefore be interesting to those wishing to visit the country.

Yahoo should either make sections for this type of thing or open the section up and call it "travel & culture" or something like that.

Your question(which if I remember correctly was in the spirit of many questions these last few days,a plea to stop destroying the Greek section) wasn't appreciated by some people(for example look at Athena, she makes it her hobby to ask one provocative question after the other just to play with peoples nerves). You didn't like that and expressed your dislike about that...They didn't like that and reported your question in return...I guess it didn't help much in your situation you have certain people in your contacts and fan lists who have been a target for a long time now...

By the way,I'm sure you can see what the situation is like here, people threatening other people with deleting their accounts and stuff....need I say more?

Yes- People delete questions and report them for NO reason.

I asked a question on Greece a month ago. and the same thing happened.

I have to say- I agree with everyone here!

Do not be surprised. I used to answer only questions of archaeological interest, thinking that I am promoting my country (I am an archaeologist). I got several reports because I suggested for example people asking to visit the Kerameikos or the National Museum of Athens.
I left Greece / travel for the reasons Alexis and ZigZag mention. And I hardly partecipate in any category. Greece / travel became the sick ambition of one person and his few friends, who canot answer properly or they do not want to answer any question disputing the history and the culture of Greece.
So, you have the correct answer to this question.

Your question was deleted because some people have a hobby of pressing the report button LOL

BTW.The finger bandits have has been busy today. 24/7 is hated. Zigzag is loved. Me I hope to be hated more!

ADDED Alexascalas You made comment (which you have since deleted) suggesting that was a fake account. So I replyed.

BTW Will you keep on deleting your comments aimed at me, or will you let this one stand. Cos I'm not hanging round all day replying to you.

PS: I still stand by my observation. I simply do not believe 31 people saw this question and gave this guy thumbs down. Why other questions get so few thumbs, and this so many???

LAST EDIT: Sure I'm not Greek. I don't pretend to be.
At least I express my disagreement honest and openly in my questions and answers. I don't go around hiding behind thumbs down or mulitple account. I argue on opinion and don't target someone because I don't like their personality.
Your problems in the Greek section are not from outsiders but within. And you shouldn't need a foreigner to tell you that.

Sorry your question was reported/deleted in the Greek travel section. Please keep in mind that there are a lot of questions here posted by Greeks that are reported or deleted. Specifically, several of mine already had the same luck.
I can only speculate that there are some people who want to use this section for their own benefit and spread unfounded rumors against Greece and Greeks.
My question is are we going to allow this to happen?

BTW I saw your photos from Greece, they are amazing!
Keep up the great work!
Peace
PS: As soon as I finished typing and sent my answer I got thumbs down already!!

Just find your answer to the haters and and obsessed ones against others, whose sick minds create fictional stories about conspiracies, and who report everybody (with multiple accounts) only to find the opportunity to accuse the others, sending also private mails with the most disgusting scenarios that a human brain can create.
I have been reported by the ones who accuse the others many times, and then I received a series of mails (which are always handy) pointing out at the ones I should "be aware of".
The old users of this section, including me, have left it for ever, so be careful of the ones still "answering", who managed to turn this section to a Troll-Land.
In addition, mind your computer. Accounts and personal data are being stolen by the ones who have plenty of time to seek the meaning of life through virtual reality, as they had no other in their low life.
(By the way, take a look at the top ten Greek answerers. The solution to your question is there).

My friend, welcome to the club. I have had my last three questions removed. One asked about favorite Greek singers, and another asked why that question would be removed. For reasons that are unfathomable, some people (who obviously have too much time on their hands) find a need to mess with other peoples' questions. DON'T take it personally.... I don't.

It happens nearly every day.We all get reported by trolls or whatever else.As i know you are a contact of old users so i dont think that they did it as some people defend here..
The gossips behind the back of the others, the fights about the best answers or who became top contributor or not, or top answerer is frequent, and especially by people who consider themselves as neutral that they dont care about it...
In reality they care, thats why they try to expulse the others...
They dont miss the chance to enter, and instead of answering a question, they mention people who dont participate anymore with ironic comments...
Needless to mention the secret emails accusing people...
I am fed up with this, this behaviour because some happened to have more points than them...or they got more best answers..
How can some people still accuse others without reason, and especially, when we all left, or at least we participate less?
Why this obsession towards some users?
Finally, which is their private problem?

I didn't see your question, so I don't know what it's about. However, the conspiracy theories of some people only show who are the ones who actually conspire (themselves). This unfortunately happens to many good questions!
