If you are undefeated, you should rank above all teams that are not undefeated. If there was a playoff, 1 loss teams would have a right to be considered for the national title. Look at last year when Boise State was the only unbeaten and Florida stole their national title or back in the 60s when Penn State went unbeaten for 2 straight years and got no national titles. Do we really need to repeat that history. What if Kansas goes unbeaten and LSU beats them in the title game and then Hawaii beats Oregon in another game? Then, it would be last year all over again and an undeserving SEC team would once again steal a national title.

check the puter rankings of hawaii. they arent even in the top 25. im ok with kansas in the top 5 but not the rainbows. no way no how!

IF there was a playoff, we wouldnt need puters! and the rainbows could prove me wrong on the field.

Nope. Going unbeaten isn't the main thing. You need to go unbeaten while playing against good teams. Hawaii has yet to beat a ranked team all season. Kansas has only beaten one (#24 Kansas State).

Meanwhile, LSU has beaten two #9s, a #12, a #17 and a #18. Judging by the close games Kansas and Hawaii have had, they probably would've had at least one loss if they'd played that many ranked teams.

Kansas could make a case, but sorry, Hawaii plays in the WAC. They have a good QB, but they shouldn't be #1 or #2, even if they are undefeated. They struggled to beat LA Tech, which LSU put away 58-10 last night.

Nope. Going undefeated against the NAIA doesn't count.

look past the record.....strength of schedule and winning over tough teams is more important than just wins.
