.....cant Kansas be #1 with an even better undefeated record than Ohio State? They have much better stats too. They are the only team in the country that is top five on both offense and defense. To be ranked in defense in the Big-12 is saying something because all of the best offenses in the country are in that conference. Id Kansas the best team? Probably not, but if Ohio State got to be #1, Kansas definitely deserves it. Your thoughts?

Because Kansas fans spend more $$$ during basketball season. Ohio State fans spend more in Football season. You gotta keep your sponsors happy and keep the money coming right?

Well Stonewall, I included the same thinking when answering a question earlier. I heard that it was not OSU's fault and they have taken care of business. Well, it is not Kansas' fault and they have taken care of business. When comparing schedules I think Kansas has a more difficult one. So, in my opinion, when they made OSU No.1 then Kansas should have been No. 2. How else do you justify the outcome.
That being said, I have some real credibility issues with the BCS this year and none of them are good. I wonder if the BCS is slipping back to the ways of the AP poll where influence and popularity have a great deal to do with the rankings.

It doesn't matter that OSU didn't play Iowa or Indiana this year, they're no powerhouses. They played the Big Ten teams that mattered this year (Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan) and so far have only lost to one. It doesn't matter who you play anymore, just as long as you're undefeated. The system sucks and won't be right until we have at least a +1 final game. You will always have teams that get no respect because of who they played (See 2002 Buckeyes, 2006 Gators), but until they match up, you never know.

first of all....As a huge Ten fan and a die hard hater of all issues OSU. i like it !!! "HOOK EM HORNS!" i wish Texas pulls OSU's pants down for a spanking for all to be sure the picture of LSU and Florida did the previous few years. Ohio State and their non showering, cocky followers are going to get what's coming to them. yet another humiliating loss on nationwide television for the completed u . s . to be sure. i will not believe Texas isn't contained in the BCS championship interest. they are through far the great crew contained in the country hands down. Florida is familiar with it, Oklahoma is familiar with it and soon so will cocky Ohio State. The Longhorns were given ripped off large time, and that i wish are in a authentic undesirable mood. undesirable sufficient to run up the score 80-10. Ohio State is going to be printed once again because the frauds they somewhat are. there is no longer someone in Ohio (deep down) constructive about this interest.

The BCS is flawed. Although I don't think OSU or Kansas should be #1, I know where you're coming from. It has to do with their preseason rankings, that's all. I'm not sure what their rankings were, but I know OSU was around 8th. Kansas had more teams to jump.

I think Kansas should be number 1 until they are beaten. If they go undefeated, there is no doubt in my mind they deserve a shot at the title.

Kansas has played even less of no one than Ohio State has; that's why they're not #1. Ohio State misses Iowa and Indiana in the Big Ten this year; Kansas misses Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas Tech in the Big Twelve. Big difference.

If Kansas wins out ( which will be tough) they will be number 1.... if not I will quit watching BCS football.
