Xenophobic Americans (they call racists) make up the majority in the republican political party and are supported by many democratics known az (as) blue dogs. Iz it false hope that America iz ready for a female or black president? I do recall when Pope John Paul died the media hypted the tv viewers that the next Pope will be a black man from Africa. We then learned that a previous supporter of the Nazi regime wuz (was) appointed az the replacement of the previous Pope. Should we expect the same from xenophobic voters of U.S.A in the up coming election 2008?

About half is not ready... but remember half is all it takes to win. Hillary and Obama have the blue states wrapped up... all they need to do is pull in a few swing states like Florida. This can be done with a savy VP choice.

Where are you from? Please provide evidence of your assertions. I am a Republican and I find only a small percentage of Republicans are what you call xenophobes. About the same as the population in general. Is the USA ready for a woman or black man, or black woman for that matter? Yes, If the right one is available.
Also check your dictionary, that is a book that gives the meaning of words. Racist and xenophobe are not the same thing.

First off you need to check your spelling. Last time I checked is and as is not spelt with a z. Second, the republicans are not racist. If you are refering to immigration, we are not opposed to immigration, just the illegal aspect of it. We oppose an open borders policy because it can decrease our national security, and the balkanization of the nation. I oppose illegal immigration because those coming in don't learn our language, they don't care about our history, and other things that make this country unique. We have a unique way of running this country that nobody else has, and I have noticed that illegal immigration is destroying this country. Education standards are at an all time low, which is why alot of todays youth are not getting the proper education they need to succeed in life. We are not racist by no means. We just don't want to the illegals come over and expect our government to give them free money. The dems proposed a plan that would give our social security to the lose illegals who haven't worked a day in their life over here. You have New York handing drivers licenses to them like it's candy. The sweet of this is that it needs to stop and it needs to stop yesterday. I believe we are ready for a woman or black person to be president. Just not the two dimwits who are running for righr now. Their views on certain topics are warped, sick and dimented. These to nutjobs have no common sense when it comes to what's good for this country.
Please somebody tell me that they have actually taken their time and carefully studied what the current candidates stand for. I usually vote for someone who has good strong christian values. The person who will outlaw abortion, gay rights, and illegal immigration. Oh yeah. One other thing, Mrs. Clinton wants to rewrite the U.S. Constitution to reflect the views of other tolerable nations on these topics. Our constitution is what makes this country so unique. We need a candidate who will not take no for an answer and stop the dems from trying to take our uniqueness away.

First off we are not xenophobic--that is just a marxist term for those that do not like foreigners invading and taking over ones country. Secondly because we have our own non-Marxist traditions: We will not vote for the lying female or pandering black no matter what names you call us!!

Excuse me Mr. Namecaller, I vote for the person, black or white, man or woman, who I think best lines up with my political and moral beliefs and who I believe is the most qualified to run that particular office. I have always done that and I always will.
Now, if Condi Rice were to run, I would vote for that black woman in a heartbeat! Does that satisfy your warped view of conservatives sir?

Sorry, but most of us are not racist, and we could be ready for a woman or black president, just not the two who currently want the job. Just because a woman or black person is running and I dont vote them, does not mean its because of their gender and/or race, but it doesnt matter what i say I will called racist anyway

You can spell xenophobic but you can't spell as or is?

If the black male or the woman would be either qualified to be President or had ideas that weren't straight out of Marx, I might think about it, but it's the lack of common sense between their ears vs. what's between their legs or what color it is that makes me not vote for either of them.

I'll vote for the best person for the job...as will most Americans. If he/she is green with six arms, I'm cool with that.

What in tarnation do the Pope and the Nazis have to do with anything?
