Fire is both a physical and an chemical change..

Assuming you are burning wood.. Chemical because the carbon - hydrogen bonds are broken.. and physical because gasses are given off.. and the physical appearance changes..

Fireworks are made of various salts which give off color when energized in an explosion.

Can you put the fireworks back to salts again? If not, it is a chemical change.
