hi friends,

recently i have bought a motor cycle. But i am facing a problem
when i am trying to start it. The problem is like this,

first of all , i dont use the motor cycle every day.Normally i use it only on sundays.

When i try to start it ,it starts well for the first time. but after 5 or 6 seconds , the engine stops.I see there is enough fuel in the tank. After that the engine dont start for atleast 5 or 6 attempts although i choke everytime. after that the motor cycle starts but its speed cant be controlled by the throttle.at this situation if i ride the bike for atleast 50 to 60 meters the engine works as like a normal engine. after that the engine works well for that day. this problem occurs again after 1 or 2 days.

please give me some advice as elaborately as you can and also tell me the kind of problem of my bike .

I can only guess. But it appears to be a carburetor problem, or possibly an air intake problem.

If you know how to clean a carburetor, you can try that. Otherwise a shop will have to do it.

Also check your air filters and check for vacuum leaks too. The most likely place for vacuum leaks is from the rubber boots which connect the carburetors to the inlet area of the engine.

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.
2 & 4 stroke engines can have similar problems with different repair solutions.

You may be leaking fuel past your float needle when the bike sits. Make sure your petcock on the tank is off when you are not riding the bike.

i think that the respond on your question is to definite permit the motorcycle heat up. you do not ought to take a seat there and rev the crap out of it tho. it takes a physically powerful 2 minutes to permit the motor heat up sufficient to experience. "The motor has to heat up with the aid of fact whilst it rather is chilly the cylinder is small and hugs the piston tightly, whilst it warms up the cylinder grows slightly" for the shear secure practices of not blowing up your motorcycle permit it heat up. then as quickly as the motorcycle warms up and you start up driving it is going to run slightly humorous for a minute then each thing ought to be ok.

not knowing what kind of bike you have
it will be a guess but what you are describing sounds quite similar to what happens when a carb float and slide are glazed and need of cleaning and polishing
its not that difficult to do just disassemble carb and clear all parts deglaze them with oo steel wool litely reassemble it
