I guess I could not even begin to replace my dad. He was the best.

You're probably too young to know the name, but William
Boyd was a father figure to not only me, but to thousands
of kids like me, during the 40's and 50's. For a little girl, he
was my hero. He looked so dashing in his black outfit and
the white horse he rode. Although lots of little girls preferred
Roy Rogers, Hoppy was my favorite. It's too bad he and his
long time wife were unable to have children, for you could
really see how he loved kids when he made public appearances.
A close second would be the actor whos' name escapes
me right now. And he played the father, in Father Knows
Best with Jane Wyatt. I always thought, they'ed make the
best real parents.

Oh man that's hard, Robert Young, Spencer Tracy, Arthur Hiller or Jimmy Stewart.

Robert Young(Marcus Welby) and I were born on the same day.

Spencer Tracy was just something else.

Arthur Hiller was Owen Marshall and seemed like a really nice man.

But Jimmy Stewart, I think he'd probably be my choice. Love it's a wonderful life and most of his movies.

Either Gilbert Roland, cause he looked a lot like my present late Father or Stan Laurel of Laurel and Hardy fame.

I lost my Dad to cancer not too long ago but if I had to choose an actor to be my dad, I'd choose one of Dad's favorite actors and one that kinda looks like him and really had Dad's quiet spoken ways, Gary Cooper..

I'd pick Buddy Ebsen. He's one of my favorite actors and seemed like such a nice, down to earth kind of guy.
