I suppose they'd have to contact Klatu to get Gort to fly in and threaten to melt their asses. All it would take is for him to walk out of his spaceship and raised that visor of his and they'd be packing their bags or taking down fences.
.
All joking aside I suppose it would be the U.N. that have to step in and straighten out anyone who had decided to claim any part of a planet or the Moon.

i'm particular once interplanetary commute has stepped forward to the point of a threat planetary settlements and habitats, the challenge concerning the rights to the land will be reported between the powers on the time. presently, the purely use we get out of the planets is for medical study and study. because the funding required to carryout study on-website is extremely severe, each and each and every of the international places can do as a lot study as they prefer without one impeding on yet another. through the time human beings can get there, it is going to nonetheless favor to be a joint attempt between all international places, so it nonetheless wont be an challenge. ultimately, once colonization is a threat, this question will arise, yet we will be too busy retaining ourselves from the interior sight race of hostile beings that we did not comprehend already "own" earth, that survival, and not in any respect possession rights of planets, will take precedents.

(I ain't joking, someone did file an official claim)

As a tax payer, I'm sure that he will expect his government to defend his claim...

there doesnt need to be anyone to enforce it. the rest of the world would just say "o yea? **** you" and carry out bussiness as usual. and im sure the US would try to flex some military might and scare some country away.
