When Paris went back the second time, she actually served more time than the average person would have served for those offenses because the jail/public servants were being scrutinized.
Every day we hear about another celebrity DUI, but how many of them have we heard serving significant time? Most people serving significant time had multiple offenses or the DUI was only part of the charged offenses.
I'm not defending Paris Hilton, but the reality is the jails are so over-crowded that her offense gets little jail time so that they can house violent criminals, those with felony charges, those that are being held without bond, those that were picked up on warrants for various reasons, etc.

I think it's pathetic that for those in Hollywood, behaving badly is actually a career enhancement. It would appear to be the case with this no-talent bimbo. Besides being an heir to a fortune, just what the hell is her claim to fame anyway?

That's a no brainer.... of course she should. You CAN do something about it. Write to the congresspeople of your state and tell them how you feel about it. Tell them that you don't want celebrities to be treated any differently than anyone else. Explain why you think it is wrong. (I personally think it goes against the Equal Protections clause of the Constitution).

She is not treated like a queen. She is treated like a wealthy person. Wealth has priviledges.
