My boyfriend is scared of being tied down in marriage why?

He feels that once he gets married, the fun will end and that his life will take an unfortunate turn.
I know 2 guys who are the complete opposite when it comes to marriage.
One guy is the picture of the perfect marriage. He knew his gf since high school and they have been in love for a long time and the marriage to him is a confirmation. He completely embraces the married life.
The other guy just does't dig it. He was the type who liked to spend time on the weekends hanging out with the guys and doing things married guys shouldn't do (like chasing chicks).

The answer is easy!!! Your boyfriend is not ready for that greater commitment. He doesn't come first anymore. Marriage is a 2 way street, a lot of give, and take.

It simply means that your boyfriend does not want to be married, so he can date and see other gals. Tied down means when you are married you cannot (or should not) date or have sex or anything of this sort with anyone other than your spouse....Your boyfriend is not ready to settle down with you. He wants to be free to see other gals if he chooses too. (smile) Work on him and change his mind if you really want him to be your husband.

He is afraid of being "tied down" because he doesn't want a commitment with you....Tied down seems to has a negative connotation....but when you marry someone you are suppose to be committed to them and care about their welfare....

being tied down refers to the idea that you are constrained to the person you are married to. ie he simply wants to have sex with other people and do things that wouldn't be appropriate in marriage.

It means he has commitment issues and doesn't want to commit.
Tied down is similar to "locked up"

He is not ready for marriage if he believes it will tie him down. It means that he would have to have responsibility other than himself and put his family before his own self, at times. He knows marriage is a committment and unless he is ready for that, he is wise to not do so.

Your boyfriend does not want to be committed to one person for the rest of his life he is not ready for marriage. marriage is commitment between you and god these vowels are very serious and if your ready than don't do it. marriage is easy to get into but not easy to get out of.

Tied down means having responsibilities....house, wife, kids.Plus, he is suppose to be true to one woman.
