I absolutly love Stephen King's the Dark Tower series. It's a seven book series. It's connected to a lot of his other books as well. If you're looking to get into Stephen King then this is the place to start.

The Da Vinci Code was good, also "Growing up hard in Harlan County" was good, I also like "Smithsonian" magazine,, my Library has some good choices and I read every night for an hour or two.
