dang girl! i think you should just retake the SATs or take the ACTs and see how you do on those. in fact i'd really recommend taking the ACT if you havent already because recent studies show that girls do better on the ACT as opposed to SAT.

I have the same problem. My combined score is a 1500 (yours is even a little higher than that). I took the SAT's 3 times, plus a prep course. Nothing helped. My ACT's were horrible too (a score of 21 or combined of 22). I visited 14 private universities and I talked to them about that. Some said that it is an average score and some said that they will consider other things too (activities, community service, grades, etc). They told me that I still had a great chance of getting in.

Basically, don't worry. I also have been in plenty of clubs (4 my first year, 5 my second year, 8 my third, and now 8 again for my last... 20 may look a little bad, though... they want to see committment, so I wouldn't list all of them.) and I've done 80+ hours of community service. I went with a study abroad program to Spain for a month this summer and I have a 3.6 GPA. We seem to be very alike! You'll get in somewhere!

For my school newspaper, I just wrote an editorial about how the SAT's shouldn't exist. It made me feel great. If you ever want to read it, I'll send it to you. =)

Good luck!

i'm particular that the track you hear to is a minimum of a trademark of ways smart you're. i think of of myself as an smart being and in accordance to this i'm incredibly smart (The Beatles). i've got by no capacity taken the SAT, yet I have been given a 27 on the ACT (that's an ok score, good?). My favorites have been close to the better rankings (Bob Dylan, crimson warm Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, The doorways, and so on.).

It looks like you can improve your scores....particularly since you really care about them. When I first took the SAT's I wasn't happy with my scores either. So I studied hard and took them again. (BTW, there are courses out there that help you prepare. They can be expensive but they're worth it if it helps you get into college.) Even though your future SAT report will include old and new scores, if the new scores show an improvement, college admissions boards should be pleased.

The SAT scores are only one factor. You have good grades and many activities, so your chances for acceptance are good.
