The opposite of my living room is the den. It's smaller and cozy and warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

A dying room. (aka the parlor)
Of course, anyone who knows anything about history knows that way back when, when someone was dying or dead they would be taken into the parlor. The parlor was the room in the house where people were prepared for burial by the woman of the house.
(The parlor was also used for other things, but this is one of the uses, a little history for you...)

A plastic room... You know them, you hate them , you can't live without them...
It's one of those rooms where everything within human touch is completely covered in that thick plastic sheeting that makes your rear end stick to it like super glue on a hot Summer day.
All really old prissy ladies have one in their home...I am, of course the exception to that rule...LOL

I say "front room" instead of "livingroom" so the opposite for me would be "back room". lol
But this was a very good question! :)
