then you need to go to a library and find out if they hold free resume writing seminars or courses.

You can go online and get help too, you concentrate only on your skills write them all down, doesn't matter what they are.

You can cook, clean, take care of chidren, can you type, (maybe you will need a refresher course) if you have the means go back to school as an adult student, community colleges usually offer skill based programs affordable too.

Find a cover letter there are samples you can get also when researching resume writing, use the internet for your job search, we have a government site here in Canada. Since you have been out of the workforce you need to educate yourself on what is expected in applying for work or you will be denied, resumes are a must these days, references you can get from your volunteer work, that counts, employers like community minded people to hire. good luck.

Your best bet is to write a functional resume (not chronological) that focuses on your skills. Definitely include OxFam even if it was as a volunteer but again, focus on the skills you can provide to an employer. A CV might be a bit much if you are looking for part-time (unless you are not in the US then a CV is the same as a resume in the US, but in the US it implies something lengthier).

Part-time jobs usually have standard applications where again, you might want to list family but under experience put down all you know to do that would work well with that company. Your next step is to tell as many people as possible that you are looking and network wherever you can. Good luck!

Are you a senior citizen? If so, there are organizations out there that will help you. One example is "Operation Able" in the Chicagoland area. There are many others like it and I'm sure there are some in Europe.

Oxfam is an international non-profit.

CV is curriculum vitae, or a resume.

Nine years looking after kids is a good start in starting your own buss. in helping parents out in taking care of their kids when they are in need of a care taker.
That is if you love kids and have a passion for it!

Please don't use abbreviations. Many people do not know what they mean. What is cv and oxfam?
