I told him I would always think of Jolie, but he said in ten years, no one will know who Angelina Jolie is.
We´re not pregnant, but I think it´s cute he suggested this name.
What do you think?

I am in the same boat as you! I am not a Jolie fan, but I do love the name Angelina.
I think that it's true that it 10 years she won't be as big a deal as she is now.
I don't think that if you use this name that people will assume that she's named after Angelina Jolie. I wouldn't.
Angelina is a beautiful name, especially with the "litle angel" connotation!

It's a good name. People will still know who Angelina Jolie is ten years from now, but that doesn't matter.

I am kind of with you, I would always think Angelina Jolie. Not that I have anything really bad against her. But I wouldnt want to name my baby that because I would associate it with her. And yes, in 10 years she will still be well known. Look at Brook Shields and Cindy Crawford..

It's sweet, and while the Jolie assocition would slightly bother me as well, I tend to think of Angelina Ballerina just as easily (three little girls in the house and all LOL).
You might, however, ask him how he feels about some similar options that DON'T have that same association. Angline, Evangeline, Evangelina, etc. ;)

I like the name Angelina and I think there is a very cute toy that is a mouse pink ballerina with that name.

oh, I don't think no one will know her in 10 years. I don't like Angelina Jolie, that's why I wouldn't name my child after her, although the name is kinda cute.

i think it is cute and in 10 years from now i think she will still be doing movies and making money.
and since Angelina Jolie isn't really her full name u can actually use that but people might think ur weird (angelina's real name is Angelina Jolie Voight, Angelina Jolie is her first and middle name)

I don't automaticlaly think of Angelina Jolie, but I do think it's an overused name anymore, probably because of her.... Look how popular the name Maddox is now!

haha..my husband asked me that too when i was pregnant..at that time,the movie of angelina jolie was a hit.i find it nice but i picked another name.
