The first thought it was the master cylinder so I changed it bled the system and did it again. I had changed the rear driver side cylinder four month ago so I thought it could be the passenger side this time, change it and the peddle went down again. I found out that I needed a special tool to bleed the ABS unit a Tech-1 or a Tech -2 device so I took to the dealer service dept. and they did it, and went soft again. All this took place a week ago and this week it was taking it back to the dealer to ask them to fix my truck. They said it was the master cylinder it was bad so can they replace it, I took it off and reprimed it and it was holding pressure before I took it in, so I said ok replace it. They were surprised to see me. I lost my brakes again they came back and told me that they didn't get all the air out and it's fixed now. Today is Sunday and I have nooo brakes again does anybody know whats wrong???

I would have said to bleed the brakes but you said that you've done that. Are the brake pads worn out. that probably wouldn't make the pedal go to the floor but its worth looking at.

There may still be a little air trapped. It doesn't take much
• Lift vehicle on all 4 corners & support on jack stands.
• Check along the frame for leaks
• Remove all wheels
• Check the rear brakes are properly adjusted & there are no leaks. (should hear them slightly contacting the drum)
• Make sure reservoir is full, place the lid on reservoir in case you have to depress the pedal
• Place a container under each brake
• Bleed all calipers/wheel cyls. - one at a time
• Loosen bleeder on the front right caliper
• Place a piece of vacuum hose on the bleeder screw
• Allow to drip, may have to press the pedal once to get the fluid moving.
• Allow the Master Cyl to drain ½ way on each brake

Once a 4 corners are completed start vehicle a press the brake pedal. If it doesn't come back to near the top, then there is still some air trapped. Let it sit for a couple of hours & repeat the process.

Good Luck. . .

Are there any drips on the ground? Any wet areas at any of the unions? Have you changed your calipers? These are the things you didnt mention, but should be checked. Do you have hydraboost or is a vacuum system? Check for vacuum leaks, that can make it seem like you dont have brakes...if you pump the pedal when you lose the brakes, do they come back? That is a sign of a faulty master, unlikely when you have changed it 2x, but still possible. Bad abs module can also cause weird braking, although typically you dont lose your brakes when the abs malfunctions. I would take it back in, tell them what happened, ask them to diagnose it for you, and fix it. Most of all, remain calm when you go back. The shops are there to fix the car, not to get screamed at. If they can't fix it to your satisfaction, taqke it to another shop, and ask them to go through it. If they fix it, then take the bills you have gotten back to the first place and ask them for a reimbursement. Most dealerships will at least talk to you regarding that, because they don't want bad mouthing to ruin their business. Brakes are nothing to fool around with, the car can run like crap, but if you can't stop it, there is a BIG problem. Good luck.
