As a single father with 2 kids, I find it hard to think of gifts for my sister in law at Christmas time. I plan on giving pictures as gifts to all of my family, but what are good gifts?

I'm a sister in law, twice. I really don't need or want anything and my feelings wouldn't be hurt if I got nothing. People insist on buying for me every year (I do appreciate it, though, and continue to use some of the gifts I got):
Soft pink slippers (one of my favorite past gifts) I think they probably cost $10 but look like they cost $50 to me.
I got a box of chocolate truffles last year from Godiva (I lovee truffles and only eat them during Holiday's so this was a treat)
Lotion from Bath and Body Works- you really can't go wrong there.
Picture frames

A gift card is always nice. Find out where she likes to go....If she likes Starbuck's or Kohl's etc... It seems impersonal to some, but there is nothing worse that something 'personal' that you won't use. Each year I get bags of gifts that are not my style or taste. I always encourage people to give me gift cards. In fact, I love gardening and weird though it might seem, (especially if you judged me only by my appearance) I love getting gift cards for our local Co-Op. I buy plants there, mulch, etc.......
Even a $10 giftcard for Starbucks is great if she goes there! $10 of soemthing you like is always better than $50 for something you won't use!

Pictures are great! Especially If you are a single dad with a limited budget. Take the kids out and shoot a roll of film, have the pictures developed and let the kids pick the photos and frames, perfect gift and personalized.

espresso mugs from the dollar shop are an incredible low-priced present. bypass away the labels on the bottoms of them, each and all the dollar shops have their own specific style which you rather do no longer locate someplace else. If she's clever she'll be conscious the labels while she washes them and can desire to be rather offended that to procure her 4 greenbacks nicely worth of mugs, or she'll merely be chuffed that to procure her some nifty mugs.
