What is the age when children admire their parents the most when they want to be just like them and are most dependent on role models?

Are you looking for 'the book's' answer, the professional's answer, or the answer from the 70 year old who still has their parent living? I believe you may get a wide range of answers.
My children thought I was "all that" when they were 5. Behavior modeling is probably important from conception to death. I think it was around 5 years old that my children could articulate admiration and desire to follow our behaviors.

Now I'm over 50 and am still actively searching for great role models. The only thing that has changed is that now I choose my role models. I decide what is successful, healthy and desireable.
