The river is rising 5 to 8 inches and hour and threatning to be of biblical proportions. Half the town is already under water and this will be my last posting on Q&A until the water goes down or I am evacuated to some where with a working internet. See Ya!!!

My wife and I was in Hoi An about three weeks ago, and it was flooded then. Bach Dang Street was under about a foot of water by that time. The Japanese bridge was still on dry ground, but there wasn't much street above water on the West side of the bridge.

How much of Hoi An will be flooded will depend on how much of the town is below high tide. If you're looking for higher ground, look towards the North end of old town (that's where most of the hotels are). Head towards Da Nang if you want to completely get out of the water.
