I just got harvest moon back to nature for playstation 1 from ebay but I am using it on playstation 2 and everything is working fine. Except when I went to save. It says there isn't any memory card in slot one or slot two. Does this mean that i can't save the game on a playstation 2 memory card? if it does then can i get a playstation 1 memory card at a store or will I have to find one on ebay and does a playstation 1 memory card work for playstation 2?

ps2 games are saved on ps2 cards. ps1 games are saved on ps1 cards. i have a ps2 and have some ps1 games with a seprate memory card for them. you can get a ps1 memory card at any resale game shop like gamestop or mind games. there like 5 bucks.

That's the one thing that isn't backwards compatible. A PS1 game can only save on a PS1 memory card, even if the game is being played on a PS2.
You might be able to get a PS1 catridge in a game shop or an online store.

no se yo tengo una Ps2 pero nnca he jugado uun juego de ps1 en la ps2
yo creo que debe guardarlo si no es asi tendras que comprarte una una memory card para ps1
