You need to configure your router, it won't work with default setting. Check this out to help you:

Yes reset both the modem and the router.
Don't change any settings on the computer.
Turn off the computer.
Pull the Power Adapter from both the Modem and the Router.
Wait 5 minutes.
Now in this order.
Plug in the MODEM first and wait 1 minute.
Plug in the Router next and again you have to wit 1 Minute.
Now you can restart your computer and you should be good to go if you have your settings and confiqurations correct.

Hi it seems you are trying to use both modem and the router at the same time. you can connect only one at a time.. so try connecting the router alone it will work perfectly.. just check the status of the light in the router if there is any light named diag is on continuously or the power light is constant red even after 2 or 3 mins after powering it up then it will be a router problem

Ok dont know who your ISP is but heres how it goes

Make sure you have your ISP disc installed which would have come with the broadband modem.

disconnect the modem do not uninstall it.
fir your ADSL wireless router the same way in which your broadband modem was fitted using the same filters etc

install the CD with would have come with your router and follow the instructions

remember wireless routers come with yellow or red line that must go to your pc plus a silver one

If its a broadband connection you had the router must be an ADSL modem and wireless G router
