No, You do not get any points nor anything else for stars. They were meant to be given out for good / interesting questions, but that has gone by the way side. I guess people that ask / begs for them thinks it makes them feel special in some sort of way when they accumulate many!!

You don't get points for stars, however when someone stars a question of yours all of the answerer's contacts see the question as well. It basically draws attention to your question. Questions with a lot of stars get reviewed by Answers! staff and they may be displayed on the main page.
