A bunch of high school students are on their way home from a daytime outing of some kind. A cop pulls them over because the car looks like one that was reported as stolen. The name on the registration is not the same as the last name on the driver's license. The car belongs to his mother who divorced and remarried, but the students cannot convince the cop and nobody can reach the mother or step-father.
