Of course not. Look at people here in the U.S. who take the bible literally and think that the Earth is only around 4-6 thousand years old, despite geological evidence pointing to 4.5 billion years old. Don't base the intelligence of a nation solely on an ignorant individual, because we have plenty here ourselves.

Just because there is one person in France who doesn't know something (under pressure), it doesn't follow that all the French are ignorant. Would you judge the intelligence or education of everyone in the U.S. by our president?
