You have done the first thing to accomplish that: ask for help. Now what you need to do is "Nosce Te Ipsum" (know yourself), which means to determine the best learning method for you; alone, with a text book or with a teacher tutoring you. Show real interest in the subject to you teacher in class and don't hesitate to talk to him/her after class (even if you do not like him/her) and tell him/her that you have a problem (you don't understand) and you are asking for a extra help (teacher usually help students who do this). Good luck and may Pythagoras guide you...

I had the same problem with Algebra. Most teachers will be happy to help a student who wants to learn. Most students are either embarassed to ask for help or don't care.
What helped me the most was to break it down ibnto smaller problems until I could see the bigger picture. When you look at an equation don't try to figure the whole thing at once. You need to solve the su sets anyway so clear out the parenthesis.
When it does hit you, you will say to yourself. " Self, that's not so hard. "

You should deffiantly go for some extra help with your teacher. I'm a junior in highschool taking calculus now and I've learned that if you speak up and go to your teacher a lot of times sitting down one on one really helps to figure things out! Don't be embarrased or ashamed, teachers like it when students come because they want to learn. Keep up with your homework and ask questions when you have them in class. Good luck!

You need to work hard. Do all the homework and assignments. Find someone to tutor you. You probably need help with the basics, pre-algebra. Start there and work forward with a tutor.

You can do it if you really want it. Others have with your same difficulty.

Remember what Albert Einstein said about math,
"Do not worry about your problems with mathematics, I assure you mine are far greater."

Good luck!
