depends on where the murder was committed where you live and your social economic influence. been rather cynical i know here but they all influence what a judge. best way of not getting any length for murder is not to do it in any case. most go and try and put in a plea of manslaughter but then again if your a cop and kill and unarmed Brazilian your in the clear.

Depends on what country and state you reside in, and what laws you are subject to. It also depends on what kind of murder and how many.

You could get lifetime, but that's only in rare instances. So between 15 and 30 years would probably be a good estimate.

If you are white and you murdered a darky, then you will die in jail. If you are a darky and you murdered a whitey then you will be sentenced to swimming with dolphins in the Caribbean then given a resettlement grant including a house and a college place.

IN the UK anmyone convicted of murder must be sentenced to life imprisonment, that is required by law.

The standard life term is 15 years, without any recommendation from the judge, so actual time spent in prison, including remand time spent, is at least 7½ years.

The sentence is, however, one of life, which means for ALL of the offender's life he or she is subject to being recalled to prison without being tried, as time spent in the community is on licence, until the offender dies.

Most people don't realise that.
