Petrol, called gasoline in some of the colonies, is manufactured from one of several sources, the primary one of which is raw petroleum retrieved from under the ground. To the best of our knowledge, once we have sucked all the oil available from the ground there will be no more.

actually a great question
some scientists have postulated that the earth makes its own fuel
e.g. we are now drilling for oil 5,000 feet down into the earth
Q. How did dinosaurs get 5,000 feet down there - that is a LOT of topsoil
secondly - some good oil producing wells do 10-12,000
barrels (bbls) a day
when they get down to 4,00 bbls - they are capped off - and
the well field moves to new areas.
AND YET - the owners come back after a few years to check
out the well - and they start pumping 8-10,000 bbls
AGAIN - now - did we get a new set of dinosaurs???
or is the earth providing ?
and are they jerking our chain - - - - -$95/ barrel
we are stoopid
