Being in Ireland, China or any other country makes no additional factor when it comes to e-bay. The internet auction house E-bay is probably the easiest access to the global marketplace and provides you access to millions of users within thousands of countries.

The key to success on e-bay is making yourself unique to the hundreds of thousands of other auctionaires.

Questions you should be asking yourself:

1. What corner of the market do I have an advantage over other sellers in e-bay.

- Example: Beer & Alcoholic beverages... While it may not be permissible to sell alcohol to all countries you may be able to obtain some factory direct materials that are unavailable in places such as the United States. Collectors of such may find conflict obtaining these materials remotely.

2. Investment- For every dollar earned you should pour more money into development of business operations. Finding cheaper means of export ect...

3. History- E-bay relies on people providing positive feedback. Make sure you service your customer.

Buy low, sell high. Best market is computers. Look for a recycling company in your area; many of them buy thousands of computers off of corporations and universities and such that are upgrading their computers. They often sell computers at low prices, but in large bulks (there usually not retailers; if they are your screwed anyways you wont make a profit with retail prices)

So your gonna need like 2k to start, with that you can buy a decent shipment, get yourself off the ground...

You could try listing your stuff on the UK or US sites rather than the Irish one, as there are more buyers on these versions of ebay.

i'm not sure how it works in ireland but over in the US. if you really want to make money, get a reseller permit and go to warehouses and see if you can purchase in bulk.

that's pretty much the only way to get cheap stuff unless u go for liquidations.

Be sure to get a scanner, so u can show people the item being sold. add alot of details. Make sure it's a item that's in demand, if not most people will overlook it.
