If you do, were they created by separate big bangs or just one very big bang...and is it possible that one may switch through these universes by distorting time and space?

Sorry if it may sound stupid, I'm just a high school student so go easy

BTW, I've never watched a single Star Trek episode in my life (we don't get them here in the Philippines)

I just want to know if it is possible for a Multiverse to exist...

String theory is thus far the only formulation that reconciles quantum mechanics (the physics of the very small) with relatively (physics of the very large). It postulates that we live in a three dimensional universe within a larger nine dimensional space. If this is so, further mathematical extrapolations of the theory suggest that this nine dimensional space may contain a nearly infinite amount of other universes.

I do believe that anything is possible until proved otherwise. The idea of parallel universes would go a long way to explain ghosts and many other mysterious things.

There is another universe the existence of which cannot be proved or explained but cannot be denied. It's the universe that exists within the human mind. In that universe without physical dimensions we imagine anything and go anywhere.
That's what separates man from the animals.

No, it's not stupid to ask this question.

At the moment no one knows if there are multiple universes. Scientists are trying to figure out experiments to test this but it's not easy to do.

But, this is how science works. Not necessarily that any scientist "believes in" multiple universes, but some consider it a possibility and want to test the idea (or hypothesis, if you will).

Mass and Time are canonically related. Multiverse could exist due to the existence of probability and quantum physics.

Well, that may depend on what a "universe" is . . . there may have been any number of different ways that universes started that are forever close off to our ability of observation or conclusion since we aren't able to observe phenomena in those universes.

It's not stupid. If you can imagine it then the answer is yes. Time itself only exists because we imagine there to be Time.
