I do not smoke, never have. I am NOT fanatically anti-smoking, you do whatever you want with your body.
However, I am tired of all the smokers getting much more break time than I do.
I need a tech or the floor team leader for a quality issue and where are they? Outside smoking and I have to hike out there to get them.
Perhaps I can start smoking clove cigarettes? Would that qualify me to get 2 or 3x the break time like the regular smokers?

a non-smoker supervisor had an idea for this.
"non-smoking" break. Where all us non-smokers could bail for a few minutes, go sit down and do nothing and drink a soda or something. It was well received by both sides

I don't think smoke breaks would do me any good! lol! I am a stay at home mom! My boss (my 18 month old) doesn't want me taking any breaks!
I do agree that it does seem like smokers seem to take way more breaks than non-smokers. At the office where I used to work there was a lady who was outside aboute every 30 minutes or so smoking. None of the supervisors ever said anything to her about it, but if anyone else was in the bathroom too long they would come hunting us down like AWOL soldiers.

I used to smoke and I never took smoke breaks. Its rude. But I think if the smokers are allowed to take more breaks so are the rest of us
Where I used to work the one woman would sit outside and smoke pack after pack for 8 hrs straight ... How she got paid I'll never know

Cloves taste good and you'll get to know your team personally when you're on a smoke break.

i agree they r slackers and r gonna get really nasty and ugly from it one day with a nasty shack to live in w/ 75 cats.... They will back on it one day and be like.." man i wish i wudve worked more instead of smoke because now i have no money and i have lung cancer and i am 35 and look like i am 55!!!

Before you consider starting smoking, talk to your boss or manager. I certainly would, say that you feel at a disadvantage or treated differently to others.

please dont you arent physically addicted anymore, your mentally addicted but i say f*ck it give in you only live once it's better to die by cancer than a car crash - we arent immortal we got to die of something -if you just want to feed the mental addiction just hold a cigarrete butt in your hands then you not smoking but have the feeling of the cig in your fingers

I am allergic to tobacco. But yes. i've considered it. Seems like they can do as they wish and they are liked more.
